So who is this Olivia Wilde?? She is really named Olivia Cockburn and she was born in New York City to an Irish father.
In fact Wilde has dual citizenship between the United States and Ireland and admits that as a result of her parents' careers, she has a "strong journalistic streak", being "really critical and analytical".
She has appeared in a number of film and television parts, including her roles on the series The O.C., The Black Donnellys, and, more recently and most famously, medical drama House. Her film biography includes The Girl Next Door, Alpha Dog, Conversations with Other Women and Turistas.
